Wisdom by Rawan is the trading name of Wisdom Lights LLC, a company registered in the State of Wyoming, United States. This policy explains what personal information we collect when you use wisdombyrawan.com, book a session, join a course or buy a recording, why we collect it, who we share it with, and the choices you have. In this policy, “we”, “us” and “our” mean Wisdom Lights LLC.

The work we do is personal. Everything you share with us in a session or course is held in confidence, as set out in our Terms & Conditions. This policy covers the information we handle through the website, bookings, payments and messages.

1. Information we collect

Your account. When you create an account we collect your name, email address and password. Your password is stored in encrypted form and we cannot read it. We send you an email to confirm that your address is yours.

Signing in with Google. If you choose “Continue with Google”, Google shares your name, email address, Google account ID and profile picture with us. We use them only to create and sign in to your account. We never receive your Google password.

Orders and payments. When you buy something we collect the details on the checkout form, such as your name, email address, phone number and billing address, together with what you bought and when. Card payments are handled by Stripe. Your card number goes directly to Stripe and is never stored on our website.

Bookings. When you book a session, course or circle we collect your name, email address, phone number, the service and time you chose, and any notes you add.

Health and safety information. Our Terms & Conditions ask you to tell us about any physical, psychological or mental health condition that may affect your participation, and sometimes to give us an emergency contact. This is sensitive information. We collect it only because you give it to us, we use it only to keep you and other participants safe, and we share it with no one except as described in section 4.

Forms and messages. When you fill in a form on the website, email us, or message the Coordination Team on WhatsApp, we keep what you send us so that we can reply and help you.

Your recordings library. When you watch a recording you bought, we record which lessons you have watched and how far you got, so that you can continue where you left off. To protect the recordings, we also keep a short technical record of each viewing: the device and browser used and a scrambled (hashed) form of your IP address. While a recording plays, your name, email address or order number may appear on screen as a watermark. This watermark is shown only to you, and it discourages anyone from sharing or copying the recording.

Technical and security information. Like most websites, our server receives your IP address and browser details on every visit. Our security system uses them to block attacks, spam and repeated failed sign-in attempts.

2. How we use your information

To provide what you booked or bought: confirming bookings, sending access links and materials, and giving you access to your recordings.
To take payments, issue receipts and keep the accounting records the law requires.
To keep sessions and courses safe, including acting on health disclosures and contacting your emergency contact or emergency services where we believe you are at risk of imminent harm.
To answer your questions and handle rescheduling or other requests.
To protect our recordings and our website from misuse, sharing and attacks.
To send you news about new courses and offerings, only if you have agreed to receive it. Every email includes an unsubscribe link.

We do not sell your personal information, and we do not use it for advertising. Our website does not use analytics or advertising trackers.

3. Research

As set out in our Terms & Conditions, some session details may be used in anonymised scientific research. Your identity and personal information are never included. You can decline this use at any time by writing to coordination@wisdombyrawan.com. Declining has no effect on your participation.

4. Who we share it with

We share personal information only with the services we need to run our work, and only what each service needs:

Hostinger: hosts our website and its data.
Stripe: processes card and other payments, and checks them for fraud.
Zoom: hosts our online sessions and courses. Zoom receives your name and email address when you join.
Microsoft (Outlook Calendar): holds our booking calendar so that sessions are not double-booked.
Bunny.net: streams our recordings. Bunny.net receives your IP address when you play a recording.
Google: provides “Continue with Google” sign-in if you use it, and supplies one of the fonts on our website. When your browser loads that font, Google receives your IP address.
WhatsApp (Meta): used by the Coordination Team if you choose to contact us on WhatsApp.
Our email delivery provider: sends booking confirmations, receipts and other emails on our behalf.

Each of these companies handles your information under its own privacy policy. Apart from them, we disclose personal information only with your written permission, where we believe you are at risk of imminent harm (Clause 4 of our Terms & Conditions), or where the law requires it.

5. Cookies

We use only the cookies the website needs to work:

Sign-in cookies that keep you logged in to your account.
Shop cookies that remember your cart and checkout.
Payment cookies set by Stripe to prevent fraud.
Security cookies that protect the website from attacks.
A short-lived cookie that lets a recording you bought play securely.

We do not use advertising or analytics cookies. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings, but signing in, checkout and recordings will not work without them.

6. How long we keep it

Account details: for as long as you have an account with us.
Orders, payments and bookings: for as long as tax and accounting law requires.
Health and emergency-contact information: only for as long as you are taking part in a session or course with us.
Technical viewing records for recordings: 30 days.
Your record of acceptance of our Terms & Conditions: for as long as a booking it covers could be in question.

7. Your rights

Wherever you live, you can ask us to:

Tell you what personal information we hold about you, and give you a copy.
Correct anything that is wrong or out of date.
Delete your information, except what the law requires us to keep.
Stop using your information for a particular purpose, such as newsletters or research.
Withdraw any consent you have given us.

Write to coordination@wisdombyrawan.com and we will reply within 30 days. You can update your account details yourself at any time from My Account. If you live in the United Kingdom or the European Union, you also have the right to complain to your local data protection authority.

8. Security

Our website is served over an encrypted connection, protected by a firewall, and scanned for malware. Recordings are streamed through protected, short-lived links and are never available as downloads. No system is completely secure, but we take care to protect your information. If you believe your account has been misused, please contact us straight away.

9. International transfers

We are a United States company serving clients worldwide, and the services listed in section 4 may store information in other countries. When you use our website or services, your information may be transferred to and processed in the United States and other countries, where the law may differ from the law where you live. We only use established providers that protect personal information.

10. Age

Our services are for adults aged 18 and over. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 18. If you believe a child has given us their information, please contact us and we will delete it.

11. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. The version date at the top shows when it last changed. If we make a significant change, we will tell you by email.
